Engineer required to visit 13 sewage treatment plants to carry out detailed assessment of their condition and produce detailed report of findings to plan future repair and maintenance activity.
Bromford Housing own and manage over 8,400 homes in the Gloucester / Bristol region, housing over 16,000 residents. 14 of the more rural properties are not on mains sewerage and have either a septic tank or sewage treatment plant.
As part of their ongoing asset review and maintenance strategy Bromford were looking for an expert to carry out a detailed inspection of all the tanks and treatment plants. As Pipefix had been on site earlier in the year installing a new sewage treatment plant at Mays Hill they asked us if our engineers could assist with this work.
We visited all of the plants over a two week period and carried out a full detailed inspection, producing a written report with photographs for each site. The engineer also put together a short list of recommendations for each site to maintain compliance with the EA Permits and to guide the next steps in terms of maintenance and repair.
