Meet the Team
Gary Butt BSc, MICE, CEng – Managing Director
Gary has been in the water industry for nearly 30 years, starting his career with Wessex Water as a graduate engineer and working in various engineering and network management roles becoming a Distribution Manager before leaving to run Pipefix in 1997.
At the time Pipefix was primarily a domestic water service specialist and Gary has since developed the company to become one of the areas leading commercial service providers. He has also brought on board many of the high profile clients that Pipefix currently works with including The National Trust, Dorset NHS Trust, Dorset County Council, the MOD, Wessex Water, Dean & Dyball and English Heritage.
Gary is a Chartered Engineer and has extensive experience in design, feasibility analysis, project planning and project management. He specialises in the installation of water supply and sewerage networks and sewage treatment process.
Stewart Matthews – Operations Manager
Stewart also has nearly 30 years experience in the water industry and manages the largest Pipefix projects as well as looking after operational supervision. Recently he has overseen two major water pipe replacement projects for The National Trust at Tyntesfield and Newark Park, and he has extensive experience of commercial pipefitting.
Stewart is responsible for managing the communication between all the stakeholders in large projects including the client, operational staff, management team, utilities organisations and sub-contractors. Effectively managing the input from various disciplines is the key to the successful delivery of projects and Stewart makes sure that this happens.
Carol Stone – Resource Manager
Carol has been with Pipefix for ten years and is responsible for managing the head office. All operational staff report to her and she manages the business budget. She schedules all of the Company works controlling more than 20 staff and is instrumental in delivering our objective of providing a quality service to our customers; on time, on budget, all of the time.
Carol has expertise in domestic and commercial water management, and has the benefit of many years of experience.
Ben Fredriksen – Business Development Manager
Ben joined Pipefix in January 2007 and is responsible for developing new business accounts and customer relationships. Ben has experience in sales & marketing in a variety of sectors and was a senior consultant for a global recruitment company. He is bringing a new focus to the business as it develops its customer relationships.
Recent customers that Ben has worked with include South West Water for the MOD’s project Aquatrine, Delta Water Plc, Wessex Water and Westland Agusta.
