Conditioning and treating your water supply

Public water supplies are treated to ensure that the water you receive is of the highest (drinking) water quality meeting both European and World health organisation standards.

However, whilst the water will maintain your health some aspects of the water supplied may not be to your liking. For example, in hard water areas limescale can be deposited on taps and fittings and other water using equipment such as dish washers and washing machines. Water softeners are employed to moderate the water hardness, reduce limescale and the use of soaps and detergents in the washing process.

Beyond the domestic applications we also offer treatment of natural water supplies, such as spring water, with chlorination systems or UV light to kill bacteria within the water system.

Other processes can be used to remove or moderate iron or other minerals within the water.
